Nosocomial infections: a point of debate
Hospital acquired infections are a troublesome issue for bedridden patients:
Bedridden patients suffering from some serious issues who can't walk on their own and if their stay is prolonged in hospital there are more chances for them to get infected by hospital-acquired infections also called nosocomial infections like UTI, RTI, fungal infections and most common of which is Aspergillosis, some other infections like pneumonia is also most common in hospital admitted patients. All these infections increase their complications and their is more need to administer more medicine and due to this fact if patient is already taking antibiotics there are chances that he/she may become antibiotic resistant which further leads to complications. So, it's a troublesome issue that must be focused to improve hygiene of bedridden patients and their attendants so there must be less chances for them to get infections and this would not complicate their conditions. This point must be address by all the healthcare providers for safety of every single patient.
